We use horse leather made from domestically produced chrome-tanned horsehide, which has been re-tanned with vegetable tannins and then dyed. While maintaining a moderate firmness, it achieves a smooth and supple texture, making it a leather material suitable for Yohji Yamamoto's flowing designs/patterns. The highly refined finish, where the flexibility and durability characteristic of chrome tanning coexist with the profound expression unique to tannin tanning, is extremely appealing. By adding approximately 5% shrinkage through product washing, fine creases emerge on the surface, transforming it into a rich, three-dimensional texture. In addition, it becomes softer and more comfortable to wear, and with repeated wear, the leather's natural luster and depth increase, making it a leather material that allows you to fully enjoy its aging process.
