"KOSUKE MATSUI / OVERDESIGN Designer"

Mr. Kosuke Matsui is not only a brand designer who has dedicated himself to denim for a long time, repeatedly breaking, repairing, and decorating it by hand to create and revive countless denim garments, but also a craftsman. He continues to pursue beautiful designs between destruction and reconstruction.

"BACKLASH THE DENIM"

A new collection line dedicated to denim (jeans), which will be developed as a staple. Focusing once again on "denim," which holds a universal position in the men's fashion scene, this line proposes denim products that will not fade and will increase in charm over time.

This is a collaboration item based on denim wear produced by BACKLASH, featuring handmade processing by Mr. KOSUKE MATSUI.

The base material used is "HIROSHIMA Selvedge Denim" with stretch, woven with a #7 black yarn for the warp and a #8 special white-based yarn for the weft, varying the thickness of the warp and weft. By using a special white-based yarn for the weft, the denim fabric creates a very profound texture even with just a simple one-wash. For the dark black processing, partial shaving is performed, and after shaping with a press, the entire surface is rubbed again. After undergoing a 3D process, stone wash, and overdye, the denim is finished with fine shading applied by spray processing. The words inscribed on the slake, "REACH FOR THE MOON EVEN IF WE CAN'T," are a rock phrase that continues to inspire designer Isamu Katayama.

This is a 2nd type G-jean, which can be said to be a classic work jacket. It features button-type side adjusters, characteristic of the 2nd type, allowing the wearer to adjust the waist fit even while wearing it for convenience. The classic design of this jacket makes it easy to wear and cherish for a long time. The basic design is solidly constructed with the brand's original pattern.
