In 1896, the tannery "CONCERIA GUIDI E ROSELLINI S.P.A." was established in Pescia, Tuscany, a region where leather craftsmanship had deep roots since the Middle Ages, by three individuals: Guido Guidi, Giovanni Rosellini, and Gino Ulivo. CONCERIA GUIDI E ROSELLINI S.P.A.'s factory brand is "GUIDI." Currently, Ruggero Guidi leads the tannery, dedicating his energy to creating new tanning methods with a perfect balance of technology, leveraging his exceptional experience and tradition. It has grown into a prestigious tannery that fascinates designers worldwide. In the Autumn/Winter 2005 season, the "GUIDI" collection was launched as a project. The passion for leather and tradition in GUIDI's shoe project is what this project signifies. Through his own research, going beyond trends and tendencies, he creates shoes for those who desire unique items interwoven with tradition, rather than mass-produced goods. Only a craftsman can create such items, and the comfortable, stress-free fit is a unique privilege that only the owner can experience.

CONCERIA GUIDI E ROSELLINI S.P.A., with whom BACKLASH has had a close relationship as a tannery since its establishment, is collaborating on this project line, "GUIDI." This project is based on GUIDI's "MOON05" type, characterized by its moc toe, and designed by BACKLASH. It features a 2-way specification with a zipper attached to the lace-up boots. A back zipper is also included for easy on and off even when the zipper part is removed for lace-up wear, resolving the difficulty of putting on and taking off lace-up boots. It boasts adaptability to a wide range of coordinates, a unique fit unlike other models, and a high-quality wearing experience combined with soles – it has it all.

We use the reverse side of horse leather, produced using traditional vegetable tanning methods over time, slowly nourishing the leather. Unlike the hard texture of typical vegetable-tanned leather, GUIDI's leather has a soft, supple feel, which is its greatest feature. Not only is it soft, but this special leather, with its unique atmosphere, is comfortable and promises good aging. These boots maximize the quality of the material through finishing and processing, such as dyeing after shoe manufacturing in a tumbling process.

*Please note that the brand's iconic "Object Dye" manufacturing method, where the finished product is re-dyed, allows the dye to deeply penetrate every seam, metal fitting, and detail. This results in the unique texture and world of GUIDI.
