We use 1.0mm thick CHROMEXCEL leather, a representative leather made by HORWEEN (US), which is tanned using traditional methods that have remained unchanged for over 100 years. Only steerhide raw hides of 2.5mm thickness or more, which have been individually inspected from a large number of raw hides by the tanner, are selected. These carefully selected raw hides are then finished with a combination tanning process. A special blend of at least four types of oils, including beef tallow, beeswax, vegetable oil, and fish oil, is applied and permeates the leather, creating the unique "CHROMEXCEL leather." By carefully and slowly infusing the oils into the leather at the leather's own pace, requiring time and effort, a special cowhide "CHROMEXCEL leather" is created. Despite being a thick leather with high fastness, it contains a lot of oil and has a plump, soft feel. This texture, which defies its heavy feel, continues to be highly regarded as a unique luxury leather unmatched by others. It is a tea-core leather with a hill-dyed finish, allowing you to enjoy the unique aging process of tea-core leather, where the base color appears as you continue to wear/use it.
