Uses 1.1mm thick, long-napped, full-grain velour steer leather. Unlike suede, where the nap is cut short, the velour's longer, raised nap creates a particularly rugged texture among split leathers. The 1.1mm thickness, slightly thicker than usual, gives it a more substantial presence, but to counteract the stiffness that would result, it is finished with a combination tanning process. By combining two tanning methods, "tannin tanning" and "chrome tanning," it achieves the unique aging properties of tannin while also providing the extremely soft and highly elastic fit characteristic of chrome. The properties of combination tanning, which offer higher resistance to scratches and water than regular leather products, are utilized even with the hard wear of jackets and vests in addition to bottoms.
The above leather is dyed after being made into a product. The uneven and rugged appearance, with shadows from product dyeing, creates a unique presence among suede leather products. The initial stiff feeling quickly transforms into a moist and soft texture with very early wear. This leather series, with its long-napped velour suede leather, promises rapid aging and an increasingly flavorful atmosphere, making it a highly anticipated leather series.
