We use a base material of goat leather that has been meticulously vegetable-tanned over a long period. While goat leather often evokes an image of being rugged and stiff, this material boasts a rich texture with the fine, natural grain characteristic of goat, along with lightness and strength. By thoroughly infusing the base with oil, we have created a leather that is more supple and boasts a higher fiber density than conventional goat leather, resulting in a superior wearing experience. We use goat leather with a brown core, dyed black on the surface. As you wear it, the jet-black leather surface will rub, revealing the brown core and aging into a beautiful vintage leather aesthetic. After the product is completed, it undergoes a washing process, creating a finish that gives the leather depth and a three-dimensional feel. The more you use it, the softer and more comfortable it becomes, allowing you to enjoy the aging process with increasing luster and depth of color. This leather combines a light wearing feel with a rugged appearance, achieving both practicality and individuality.
This military-inspired long coat design, based on a Yohji Yamamoto pattern, was produced by BACKLASH. It features a front zipper for easy on and off, and an internal drawstring at the waist for silhouette adjustment. Details such as epaulets create a military-like presence. It is a sophisticated piece that fuses ruggedness with the essence of mode fashion.
