This collection features carefully selected Indian buffalo leather. After thoroughly oiling the leather during the tanning process, it is oiled again in its base state to further soften it. This results in a more flexible, moist, and smooth texture than regular buffalo leather, with a finer texture and a more pleasant feel. Despite its rich oil content, the leather retains its characteristically rugged grain, offering a unique texture and water resistance not found in cowhide. The leather is dyed dark brown using a pre-dyeing process, then washed after assembly, resulting in a shrinkage of approximately 1.5 sizes. Each piece is then individually overdyed by skilled artisans, who spray black dye onto the leather, leaving some areas of the dark brown visible, creating a rich, lustrous texture. The texture developed through this process will develop an even more distinctive and rich character as it ages with continued wear.
