The main material is the brand's signature Japan double shoulder leather (also known as backlash shoulder), a base for dyeing. Once filled with the finest Polish white goose down, the vest is dyed. The unique texture, achieved by shrinking the vest by approximately 10cm in length and 16cm in width, creates a unique look, making this the brand's first ever shoulder leather down dyed vest.
This item is crafted from 0.8-0.9mm thick Japanese double shoulder leather. Backlash uses a base that's particularly richly oiled, even among the various leathers from various countries and types, and then dyed after production. The leather from both shoulders of an adult cow creates a thick, solid, and hard texture, while the uneven, rough texture with shading from the production dyeing adds a unique presence. The extra oiling ensures a comfortable fit while retaining the power of hard shoulder leather. While the initial feel may be a little harsh, the leather will soften and become more supple with each wear, developing a lustrous and refined appearance.
