This collaborative product, created in conjunction with NANGA, is based on the design of the hooded riders vest offered by BACKLASH. It is a leather down vest that pursues an extremely soft, lightweight feel that envelops you in a gentle fit.
The 0.4mm thick kangaroo suede leather is finished to be as thin as possible, maximizing the characteristics of kangaroo leather's exceptional smoothness and lightness. In addition to being lightweight, it offers outstanding softness and smoothness. After being dyed black, it is washed to achieve an even more familiar feel. Manufactured by NANGA using BACKLASH's main material, this product achieves excellent heat retention by being filled with high-quality Polish white goose down. This down is refined through cleaning by "Kawada Feather," a down manufacturer with proprietary specialized equipment and excellent technology, built upon the rich environment of groundwater and a climate suitable for drying feathers. To fully bring out the performance of this down, meticulous sewing is also employed, utilizing design that combines know-how cultivated over many years of experience with data based on scientific research in the lab. This garment offers an incredibly light feel, belying its leather construction, while also providing very high thermal insulation.
■ Down Characteristics
The highest quality down, using only Polish white goose down that has been domestically washed. With a down-to-feather ratio of 93-7% and a fill power of 860FP, it boasts high thermal insulation.
■ Nylon Fabric
Among synthetic fibers, it is relatively light and has high tensile and abrasion strength. It is smooth, wrinkle-resistant, and easy to clean as dirt falls off easily. Its low moisture absorption also means it dries quickly even when wet. Furthermore, it blends well with other processing agents, making it suitable for coatings such as water-repellent and moisture-permeable waterproof treatments.
【Down feather commitment to domestic washing】
All down feathers used by NANGA are washed and processed by the feather processing manufacturer "Kawada Feather." The processing plant is located in the Ise Plain of Mie Prefecture, where the water (super soft water) sourced from the rich environment surrounded by mountains and the climate suitable for drying are excellent for the processing steps, resulting in high-quality down.
