This is a collaboration between "BACKLASH" and "VANSON," two brands from Japan and the US that primarily use leather. VANSON's signature "star jacket" has been reimagined for this collaboration, retaining its distinctive racing suit-like design but in a monotone color scheme. We offer "TYPE-A" in all black, a color rarely seen in the original, and "TYPE-B" in black x gray x white, which is subdued yet features an exquisite color combination. These designs are tailored for adults who experienced the "Shibu-Kaji" fashion trend of that era. Brand logo patches are strategically placed throughout, and a new lowercase "backlash" font, created to be compatible with "vanson," has been designed. This star jacket has been elevated with the unique charm of a collaboration. The zipper usually located at the back waist has been removed, and front zipper pockets have been added. The sleeve length, originally designed to be longer for racing jackets, has been moderately adjusted and shortened.
VANSON
"VANSON" is a motorcycle apparel brand established in 1975 in Boston, the capital of Massachusetts. By actively incorporating the latest technology, their leather wear, meticulously crafted for quality, gradually gained demand, particularly within the local Boston racing scene. A key appeal is the exceptionally substantial leather with its unique luster. Simple items undergo 49 steps, while complex ones involve 129 steps, all handcrafted by skilled artisans. Only leather that meets strict standards is used. During the dyeing process, the leather is mixed with oil, dye, and hot water for over 6 hours, allowing the color and nutrients to penetrate, making the leather stronger and more flexible. Afterward, the surface is polished, and waxed repeatedly to maximize the leather's inherent characteristics. Finally, a finishing process called top-coating is applied, resulting in the glossy, substantial Vanson leather. Before cutting, quality checks are performed multiple times, and any leather not meeting the standards is removed. Since its founding, Vanson has steadfastly adhered to handmade craftsmanship. The sewing techniques of skilled artisans and their unwavering commitment to quality have produced premium leather jackets that have garnered overwhelming popularity among leather enthusiasts.
