He also possesses the skills of a craftsman. He continuously pursues beautiful designs that lie between destruction and reconstruction. "BACKLASH THE DENIM" A new collection line dedicated to denim (jeans) that will be regularly released. It refocuses on "denim," a timeless staple in the men's fashion scene, and proposes denim products that do not fade but become more attractive with the passage of time. This is a collaboration item based on denim wear produced by BACKLASH, with handmade distressing applied by Mr. KOSUKE MATSUI. The base material is "HIROSHIMA Selvedge Denim" blended with stretch, woven with No. 7 indigo yarn (half-bleached) for the warp and No. 8 ecru yarn for the weft, varying the thickness of the warp and weft yarns. By using ecru yarn for the weft, even with a simple one-wash, the texture achieves a very rich and profound finish. For the dark indigo distressing, partial shaving is performed, and after shaping with a press, the entire garment is re-scraped. Then, after going through three-dimensional processing, stone washing, and overdyeing, it becomes distressed denim finished with fine shading applied by spraying. The text on the pocket lining, "REACH FOR THE MOON EVEN IF WE CAN'T.," is a rock lyric that continues to inspire designer ISAMU KATAYAMA. A new slightly flared silhouette is designed, forming a beautiful loose silhouette with an appropriate thickness of denim fabric. The overall slightly relaxed silhouette is well-balanced, and the hem width, which has a slight flare, makes these highly wearable flare pants that are both distinctive and understated. The moderate flare at the hem allows for a choice of various shoes, not just boots. The silhouette is designed to allow for ease of movement while also having a refined impression. The front button fly, consistent across "THE DENIM Collection," uses original tack buttons engraved with the brand name, and adopts a basic 5-pocket design.
