He also has the sensibility of a craftsman. He continuously pursues beautiful designs that lie between destruction and reconstruction. "BACKLASH THE DENIM" A new collection line dedicated to denim (jeans) that will be regularly developed. It refocuses on "denim," which holds a universal position in the men's fashion scene, and proposes denim products that never fade and only grow more attractive with the passage of time. This is a collaboration item based on denim wear produced by BACKLASH, with handmade processing applied by Mr. Kosuke Matsui. The base material is "HIROSHIMA Selvedge Denim" with stretch, woven with No. 7 indigo warp threads (core-white) and No. 8 ecru weft threads, varying the thickness of the warp and weft. By using ecru for the weft threads, even a simple one-wash results in a very rich and atmospheric finish. For the dark indigo processing, partial shaving is performed, and after shaping with a press, the entire surface is abraded again. After that, it goes through the processes of 3D processing, stone washing, and overdying, followed by spray application to create subtle shades, resulting in a finished processed denim. The text on the pocket lining, "REACH FOR THE MOON EVEN IF WE CAN'T.," is a rock-inspired phrase that continues to inspire designer ISAMU KATAYAMA. This regular straight silhouette is designed to be moderately tight, allowing for appropriate roominess within its tightness, combining a refined silhouette with ease of movement. It features a front button fly, with all buttons being original brand tack buttons. The back pocket flasher is made of GUIDI leather with a laser engraving.
