A new collection line dedicated to denim (jeans) and developed as a staple: "BACKLASH THE DENIM." Focusing anew on "denim," which holds a universal position in the men's fashion scene, this line proposes denim products that never fade and grow more appealing with time.
The base material is "HIROSHIMA Selvedge Denim" with stretch, woven with different warp and weft thread thicknesses—No. 7 black thread for the warp and No. 8 special white thread for the weft. By using special white thread for the weft, even with just a simple one-wash, the denim fabric takes on a deeply atmospheric expression. For the dark black processing, partial shaving is applied, and after shaping with a press, the entire surface is rubbed again. Then, after going through the processes of three-dimensional processing, stonewash, and overdying, fine gradations of light and dark are applied through spray processing to finish the processed denim. The words inscribed on the slake, "REACH FOR THE MOON EVEN IF WE CAN'T. ?月に手を伸ばせ、たとえ届かなくても。" (Reach for the moon, even if we can't.), are rock words that continue to inspire designer Isamu Katayama.
The regular straight silhouette is designed to be moderately tight, yet with enough room for ease of movement within its refined shape. It features a button fly, with all buttons being original brand tack buttons. A back pocket flasher with a laser engraving on special leather is attached.
