Based on 0.8mm thick Hokkaido calf leather, crafted by one of Japan's leading tanneries with a commitment to using only domestically sourced leather, this leather is tanned to a light milky white (light beige) during a process known as white tanning, and then dyed as a finished product. This painstakingly tanned white leather allows for the realization of vibrant, pale colors when dyed. Furthermore, compared to traditional calf leather dyed from tanned leather, this leather jacket, which is dyed and shrunk after production, has an exceptionally soft and flexible texture. The grain and luster also develop a relatively subdued, mellow look over time. The soft texture feels like it's clinging to the skin, providing an exceptionally comfortable fit.
The above-mentioned white-tanned base is used as the base material, and after all sewing processes have been completed except for the attachment of the tuck buttons, the product is then dyed using indigo dyeing. The dyeing and drying processes are repeated repeatedly using a unique dye that combines indigo and indigo until the dye is set, which takes a long time and effort to create, resulting in a beautiful indigo color with depth, transparency, and unevenness. By performing this advanced indigo dyeing on the finished product, the garment is able to express a well-balanced overall shade.
