This pair features 1.1mm thick, long-pile, velour-grained steer leather. Unlike suede, which has a short, even pile, the long, brushed velour creates a particularly rugged texture among split leathers. The 1.1mm thickness gives the leather a more substantial presence, but to eliminate the resulting stiffness, it is finished using a combination tanning process. By combining two tanning methods, "tannin tanning" and "chrome tanning," the leather achieves the aging characteristic of tannins while retaining the exceptionally soft, stretchy fit characteristic of chrome. The pants take advantage of the combination tanning process, which provides greater resistance to scratches and water than standard leather products, even under heavy wear.
The above leather is used to prepare the product and then dye it. The uneven, rough appearance with shading created by the dyeing process gives this product a unique presence, even amongst our previous suede leather products. What initially feels stiff transforms into a soft, moist feel with very early wear. The long-haired velour suede leather quickly develops a more refined appearance over time, making this a leather series that is very enjoyable to watch.
These cargo pants feature a relaxed silhouette, crafted from leather and based on the French Army's M-47, a classic European military trouser. These casual-inspired bottoms are crafted with textured leather that's been dyed and shrunk to create a sophisticated, sophisticated look. While the wide-leg silhouette of these leather pants may initially feel a bit stiff and stiff, the leather undergoes the combined tanning process described above, allowing them to gradually break in with wear, resulting in a comfortable fit and a softer, more supple silhouette. Featuring a front zipper fly, original tuck buttons, and an elastic waistband with a drawcord, these leather pants are incredibly comfortable to wear.
