"KOSUKE MATSUI / OVERDESIGN Designer"
Mr. Kosuke Matsui has a long history of earnestly working with denim, repeatedly destroying, repairing, and decorating it by hand, creating and reviving countless denim garments. In addition to being a brand designer, he is also a craftsman. He continuously pursues beautiful designs that lie between destruction and reconstruction.

"BACKLASH THE DENIM"
A new collection line dedicated to denim (jeans) that will be regularly developed. We are re-focusing on "denim," which holds a universal position in the men's fashion scene, and proposing denim products that will not fade and will become more attractive over time.
This is a collaboration item based on denim wear made by BACKLASH, with handmade processing by "KOSUKE MATSUI."

We use "HIROSHIMA selvedge denim" as the base material, which is woven with #7 indigo core-white yarn for the warp and #8 undyed yarn for the weft, with different thicknesses for the warp and weft, and blended with stretch. By using undyed yarn for the weft, even with a simple one-wash, the atmosphere has a very profound look. For the light-colored processing (light indigo), which goes through the most steps, after abrading the entire surface, eco-bleach processing is applied to remove the indigo. After stone washing/overdying, it is neutralized, and then eco-bleach processing is applied in stages to remove the indigo. The finishing touches include partial three-dimensional processing, damage, and dust processing, resulting in a processed colored denim created through numerous processes. The text on the slake, "REACH FOR THE MOON EVEN IF WE CAN'T. (月に手を伸ばせ、たとえ届かなくても。)" is a rock word that still inspires designer ISAMU KATAYAMA.
