"KOSUKE MATSUI / OVERDESIGN Designer"
Mr. Kosuke Matsui has long been earnestly involved with denim, repeatedly breaking, mending, and decorating it by hand, creating and reviving countless denim garments. In addition to being a brand designer, he also possesses the skills of a craftsman. He continues to pursue beautiful designs that lie between destruction and reconstruction.

"BACKLASH THE DENIM"
A new collection line dedicated to denim (jeans) that will be regularly developed. We re-focus on "denim," which holds a universal position in the men's fashion scene, and propose denim products that do not fade and increase in charm over time.

This is a collaboration item based on denim wear produced by BACKLASH, with handmade processing applied by Mr. Kosuke Matsui.

The base material used is "HIROSHIMA selvage denim" with added stretch, woven with No. 7 indigo yarn (white core) for the warp and No. 8 ecru yarn for the weft, varying the thickness of the warp and weft yarns. By using ecru yarn for the weft, even with a simple one-wash, the texture has a very deep and rich expression. The light indigo processing, which goes through the most steps, involves rubbing the entire surface, then applying eco-bleaching to remove the indigo. After further stone washing/over-dyeing, it is neutralized, and eco-bleaching is used to gradually remove the indigo. The finishing touches include partial three-dimensional processing, damage, and dust processing, resulting in a processed colored denim created through numerous processes.

We have produced a 2nd type G-jacket, which can be called a representative work jacket. It is equipped with button-type side adjusters, characteristic of the 2nd type, allowing for waist fit adjustment even while wearing it for convenience. The classic design of the jacket makes it easy to wear without hesitation and will be cherished for a long time. The basic design is solidly constructed with original brand patterns.
