Based on 0.8mm thick calf leather from Hokkaido, which was finished by one of Japan's leading tanners with a focus on domestic production, this item is finished in a pale milky white (light beige) during the tanning process known as "white tanning," and then dyed in its product state. The leather, which has been meticulously white-tanned, allows for the expression of incredibly vivid, light colors even when dyed as a product. Furthermore, compared to conventional calf leather that is product-dyed from its undyed state, the leather used in this product-dyed and shrink-processed leather jacket is exceptionally soft and flexible. It also develops a relatively subdued grain and luster over time. It can be worn with an excellent, comfortable fit thanks to its skin-hugging softness. Utilizing the soft and light feel of the leather, this design is intended to be a relatively tight fit, yet it is crafted into a sharp-silhouetted leather jacket that can be worn extremely casually.
While many of the patterns typically used by Backlash feature a tightly cinched waist, this item is constructed using a pattern based on Backlash's patterns, but with a double front zipper and a gusset with a zipper at the waist of the back body to reduce stress on the waist. The subdued red color from the white-tanned product dyeing is complemented by black parts, creating a finished look reminiscent of the Yohji Yamamoto collaboration rider's jacket.
