We use raw hides of high-quality domestic steer leather, tanned with white tannin as a base. Furthermore, by re-tanning the leather with several types of vegetable tannins, including mimosa, and adding oil, we achieve a supple texture that is not typically found in steer leather. Based on this highly flexible base material, we apply product dyeing. Even after shrink-dyeing, the leather jacket has an extremely soft feel. The combination of black from the dyeing and the leather's rich oil content results in a deep, intense black color. This long shirt blouson, created by maximizing the soft and light feel of the leather, combined with a leather thickness of 0.6mm, creates a casual fit and a relaxed silhouette that can be worn roughly without hesitation.
This is a collaboration between BACKLASH and Yohji Yamamoto, creating a classic shirt blouson based on a design/pattern from the Yohji Yamamoto collection. The design remains the same as the Yohji Yamamoto fabric model, and while it is long, it is characterized by the absence of seams even in leather. This co-creation incorporates BACKLASH's proud processed leather technology into Yohji Yamamoto's design.
