The base material uses high-quality domestic steer leather, tanned with white tannin on the raw hide. Additionally, by re-tanning the leather with several types of vegetable tannins, including mimosa, and adding oil, it achieves a supple texture not found in typical steer leather. Product dyeing is applied to this extremely flexible leather base. Even after dyeing with a shrinkage process, the leather garment retains an exceptionally soft feel. The deep black color, achieved through dyeing, combined with the richly oiled leather, creates a highly concentrated black hue. In addition to the soft and light feel of the leather, the thickness of the leather is also thinner than usual, at 0.6mm. Although it's a large, all-leather overall, it has been made as light as possible, creating a casual fit and relaxed silhouette that can be worn freely and roughly.
These overalls, featuring a design/pattern from the Yohji Yamamoto collection, were produced by BACKLASH. They are characterized by multiple box pockets intended to evoke a workwear aesthetic. While a large design silhouette, they are a special specification made from high-grade large leather without seams.
