BACKLASH THE DENIM is a new collection line dedicated to denim (jeans), offering timeless pieces. It refocuses on "denim," a universal staple in men's fashion, proposing denim products that never fade and grow more appealing with time.
The base material used is "HIROSHIMA Selvedge Denim," a stretch-blend fabric woven with different thicknesses for the warp and weft: indigo medium-white yarn (count 7) for the warp and natural yarn (count 8) for the weft. By using natural yarn for the weft, even a simple one-wash finish results in a deeply tasteful and appealing texture. The text on the pocket lining, "REACH FOR THE MOON EVEN IF WE CAN'T.," is a rock-inspired phrase that continues to inspire designer Isamu Katayama.
The skinny silhouette offers a moderate amount of room from the waist to the knees, tapering tightly from the knees down. With a suitable rise and just enough room in the hips, it's an original silhouette that, despite being skinny, offers excellent freedom of movement. It features slightly longer hem zippers. This design enhances a more casual feel while creating a sleek, well-put-together, tight skinny silhouette. It has a front button fly, with all buttons being original brand tack buttons. A back pocket flasher with laser engraving on GUIDI leather is attached.
