This collaborative product is a joint production between "ALPHA INDUSTRIES", which manufactures military jackets at the request of the US Department of Defense, and "ISAMU KATAYAMA BACKLASH".
It is a cold-weather jacket developed and created for aircrew and ground personnel in heavy zones (extreme cold regions) of Alaska and other cold areas, where temperatures range from -10℃ to -30℃. Based on the N-3B, which is characterized by a hood developed to ensure visibility even in outdoor low temperatures and blizzards, and whose design and function still greatly influence civilian clothing, the silhouette has been adjusted and modified. The length has been made appropriately longer, and the width has been reduced to create a clean silhouette. Traditionally, the front was fastened with buttons over a zipper, but this has been changed to snap buttons for easy opening and closing even with gloves on. Furthermore, a buckle-equipped leather part crimped from above has been attached, creating a special design reminiscent of a fireman's jacket. The large logo zipper goes up high, and the large hood with faux fur and a boa lining is designed to completely cover the head for cold protection. The front placket and knit cuffs inside the sleeves retain warmth. The fur on the hood is detachable. While retaining the authentic details unique to Alpha, such as specifications for enhanced warmth and utility pockets on the sleeves, the lining has also been changed to a boa specification for even greater warmth. The entire item, from the fur and inner boa to the parts, is in a Backlash-specific all-black finish. The iconic red tag of Alpha Industries on the left arm is accompanied by a Backlash leather tag. Double-faced leather with different colors on the front and back is used, assuming it will be displayed. This special piece retains the Alpha brand atmosphere while being finished in the Backlash style.
