It features high-quality domestic chrome-tanned steer leather, typically used in luxury furniture. While it uses large pieces of leather, the leather itself has very few scratches for its size, having been inspected to high standards. It is a luxurious leather with a remarkably smooth feel, pleasant flexibility, and beautiful appearance. It has a lustrous, highly concentrated "black" coloring.
Leveraging the soft and light characteristics of the leather described above, a big coat with a pattern developed in the Yohji Yamamoto collection is offered as a collaboration. Normally, when making a coat of this size in leather, there would inevitably be seams in large parts like the body and sleeves. However, by utilizing the large size of the leather, seams have been eliminated, and the back is made from a single piece of leather without any切り替え (switching/panels), which is a unique feature. Additionally, by making the leather 0.6mm thick, even with this amount of leather used, it is lighter than it looks and can be worn casually with a relaxed feel, making it a leather big coat.
A new type of trench coat, based on a pattern developed in the Yohji Yamamoto collection, is produced by BACKLASH. By using leather as the material for this super long coat, it achieves a presence and aura beyond that of woven fabrics. The waist belt is detachable, and the lining is made of cupra, allowing for very smooth arm insertion. This super long coat is not available in the BACKLASH collection and creates a uniquely different atmosphere.
