We use 0.8mm thick calf leather, meticulously crafted by one of Japan's leading tanners, adhering to our commitment to domestic production. Its highly resilient and supple texture readily conforms to the body, offering a comfortable feel that clings to the skin with relative softness. A distinctive feature is the formation of unique wrinkles, creating large, wavy, three-dimensional folds. The dyeing process begins with product dyeing using black dye. This is followed by shrinking through controlled heat during tumble drying. Subsequently, each garment is hand-sprayed with a thin, uneven coat of white pigment, resulting in an unprecedented texture and color. For the final high-sheen finish, instead of the usual ironing, we hand-rub each piece to achieve a gloss only on the raised areas while preserving the uneven, matte look of the white pigment in the recessed areas, further enhancing the shading and processed feel. This garment is the culmination of numerous processes.
This double rider's jacket features a slightly narrower body width and waist compared to the standard Yohji Yamamoto collaboration rider's jacket, while utilizing Yohji Yamamoto's stress-free pattern. It is a particularly striking model with an attached belt, which is detachable. The silhouette is designed to be more relaxed than the BACKLASH collection rider's jackets, yet slightly tighter than the standard collaboration rider's jackets, incorporating a new pattern.
