This leather is made from domestic horsehide, pit-tanned with vegetable tannins, and then drum-tanned twice more to further impregnate it with tannins. After dyeing the large leather pieces black, oil is applied, and then a high-pressure iron is used to pull up the luster, creating a unique color and finish developed specifically for this collaboration. Additionally, after the garment is produced, the sleeves are intentionally wrinkled, resulting in a three-dimensional appearance that is different from garment-dyed items. With repeated wear, this piece will age beautifully in a way distinct from garment-dyed items.
While most patterns used by BACKLASH feature a tightly cinched waist, this new pattern, based on a BACKLASH pattern, incorporates a double front zipper and gussets with zippers at the back waist to alleviate stress on the waist. This is a classic double rider's jacket with all components unified in black.
