Based on domestic horse leather from Hokkaido, processed by one of Japan's leading tanners with a focus on domestic production, we achieve a soft fit by using leather thinned to 0.6mm to reduce weight. The base leather, finished in a light milky white (very light beige) during the tanning process known as "white tanning," is used. By undergoing numerous processing steps such as washing, spraying, creasing, and distressing after the product is made from leather, we achieve a vintage-like feel in even white-toned leather, as if it has been worn for years. While most white leather used in conventional leather wear is whitened with white pigment, the biggest feature of this leather is that it is undyed and uses an unfinished leather made with white tanning.
This is a classic doctor coat from the Yohji Yamamoto collaboration. The doctor coat, a signature piece of Yohji Yamamoto, is a special item that uses twice the amount of leather compared to a rider's jacket. The lining and shoulder pads are attached after all product processing is completed.
