We use Hokkaido calf leather, painstakingly produced in Japan by one of the country's leading tanners. The base is finished in a pale milky white (very light beige) during the tanning process known as "shiro-namashi" (white tanning). To reduce weight, we use leather thinned to 0.6mm, achieving a soft, comfortable fit. By meticulously tanning the leather to a whitish hue first, and then garment dyeing it, the leather attains a softer and more flexible texture compared to traditional calf leather. The pale milky white base also allows for excellent color development, resulting in delicate and beautiful colorations. You can wear it with a comfortable fit and a soft, supple texture that adheres to the skin.
This is a standard doctor's coat from the Yohji Yamamoto collaboration. As an iconic piece representing Yohji Yamamoto, this doctor's coat is a special item, using twice the amount of leather compared to a rider's jacket. The lining and shoulder pads are added after all product processing is completed.
